VICE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

Scott Balliett, Vice Director

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter to you as the Principal of ZISPP. I am here to serve our teachers, our parents and most importantly our students. It fills me with immense pride to have this wonderful opportunity to work with such dynamic students, staff and families to help develop global citizens of the future.

Why Study Here?

Our mission is to offer the best-value school for private international education and STEM learning in Cambodia. Every day we strive to provide a safe learning environment for our students that is both challenging and engaging. We provide academic, social, and moral guidance so that our students are ready to face the challenges and responsibilities of global citizenship.

Here at ZISPP it is the schools’ goal, my goal, and our teachers’ goal to make sure each and every student reaches their potential, becomes confident, and is prepared to be a global citizen of the future. Every student is unique and we care for each child in a way that values the different talents, interests and excitement that they bring to school each day.

We believe students learn best when they are actively engaged in solving meaningful problems, that is why we use the IEYC and IPC curricula. They are specifically structured to help children learn how to learn so that they will develop a thirst to always be learning and doing

Units are project-based so our children focus on a specific subject and they dive deep into that subject matter by asking
questions, exploring ideas, and learning how to solve problems within that topic. Our students learn by doing, rather than just passively listening, and become engaged by the world around them. They take the knowledge they have acquired in class and get to apply it to real-world scenarios so that they are equipped to handle the many different situations they will encounter throughout their lives.

At ZISPP we recognize and celebrate the diversity of the students and staff that we have in our school. As the school year progresses, you will come to realize that I am your child’s biggest advocate here in the school. I will work diligently to ensure that they feel welcomed here and will provide an environment that is positive, caring and centered on learning. Their journey will be one that I truly hope they will respect, enjoy and look forward to on a day to day basis.

Parents and guardians you play such an important part of this journey. I ask that each day you make the time to discuss the day your children had at school. To review homework with them and to ensure that they get a goodnight’s sleep and are ready for the challenges that await them during the next school day. I ask the students to come to school each day with their minds and thoughts set for learning, to be ready for the challenges that will await them at ZISPP.

We are moving forward together with great enthusiasm and eagerness of the new opportunities that will enrich our school program and community as a whole. As a Principal, I am happy to hear from parents and guardians, my door is always open should you wish to meet with me.

Sincerely,

Scott Balliett
